Do people ever read the Bibles in their hotel rooms?
Yes! Each Bible placed in a hotel room has the potential to reach up to 2,300 people in its estimated six-year life span. Research from the hotel industry tells us that approximately 25% of travelers read the Bibles in their hotel rooms.
Is The Gideons International a denomination or a church?
No. The Gideons International is an association that works with evangelical or Protestant churches. Our members come from many denominations, live all over the world, and share a desire to see the lost come to Christ.
What do Gideons believe?
The Gideons International is a diverse association in that our members come from many Protestant denominations with a common interest in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. All Gideons also hold important core beliefs:
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God.
- The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
Members must also:
- Have received Jesus as their personal Savior.
- Endeavor to follow Him in their daily lives.
- Be members in good standing in their Protestant/evangelical churches.
- Have the recommendation of their pastors.
Who is eligible to join The Gideons?
Generally, Christian businessmen and professional men age 21 and older (or retired businessmen and professional men) who adhere to the core spiritual beliefs held by Gideons are eligible to join The Gideons International. In addition to meeting our professional and spiritual qualifications, potential Gideons must also be recommended by their pastors.
Can I get Bibles or New Testaments for my church or my personal use?
Our mission is to reach the lost. We do not provide Bibles and New Testaments to individuals, our church partners, or other organizations for their distribution. Our unique method is to have only our members distribute Bibles or New Testaments through designated traffic lanes of life, thus efficiently reaching a large number of people. We do not overlap, duplicate, or conflict with the mission of churches and other ministries. Instead, we act as an extended missionary arm of the church.

How can schools, hotels, clinics, and hospitals get God’s Word from The Gideons?
The Gideons will supply, free of charge, Bibles for schools, hotels, clinics, and hospitals. Requests can be sent to via the Bible Online Request Form or email us at contact@gideons.org.hk.

誰可以加入基甸會？
一般來說，基督徒商人和專業人士，男性，21歲或以上，或退休的商人和專業人士。同意基甸會的核心精神及信仰，就有資格加入的國際基甸會。除滿足我們專業和信念上的要求，也必須得到他們的牧師推薦。
我是否可以索取聖經，給我的教會或我個人使用？
我們的任務是要尋找拯救失喪的人。我們不會為個人或教會提供聖經。我們只會透過我們的會員，分發聖經給指定的對象，從而有效地接觸到那些可能從沒有機會接觸聖經的人。這樣，我們不與教會或其他機構重複了工作。相反，我們成為了教會的宣教手臂。

學校、酒店、診所、護養院如何能取得聖經?
基甸會免費提供聖經給學校，酒店，診所和醫院。你可填寫網上聖經申請表，或發送電郵到 contact@gideons.org.hk 查詢。

我們的服務
我們的信仰
本會信仰共有七個要點：
- 我們信： 永遠常在獨一無二之真神，是宇宙之大主宰，人類之父親，是聖父、聖子、聖靈三位一體。
- 我們信： 耶穌基督是不能看見之神的表像，是神的獨生子，有完全之神性，由童貞女馬利亞藉聖靈感孕，道成肉身生而為人。死在十字架上，替人贖罪，並身體從死裡復活，升上高天坐在父神右邊，為新約中保，為教會元首，為天上大祭司。代聖徒祈禱，將來必親自顯現，從天再臨設立國度，審判活人死人。
- 我們信： 聖靈是三位一體中之第三位，當五旬節，降臨在教會中，使聖徒在基督裡合為一體成為教會，他使人知罪悔改重生，使聖徒得勝成聖。
- 我們信： 人是按照神的形像樣式而造者，因深陷於罪而喪亡靈命，因罪惡之權勢而敗壞沉淪。人若不重生，就不能進入神國。惟有信心接受救恩，靠基督寶血洗除罪污，藉聖靈大能得著新生命者，便可靠著聖靈之內住作成得救之工。
- 我們信： 人不論信耶穌與否，都必復活，信者得享天堂永生，不信者必受地獄之死。並且天堂地獄，都是實際而永遠者。
- 我們信： 新舊約聖經，皆是神之言語，由靈感而來，顯有神之權威，是活潑生命之道。
- 我們信： 魔鬼是自始犯罪者，是管轄此幽暗世界掌權之君，是現今在悖逆之人心中運行的邪惡，是惡之根源，善之仇敵。
國際基甸會（香港）
香港分會
國際基甸會於 1956 年，先成立香港分會，並陸續在不同地區，成立了香港，香港島、九龍、大埔、沙田及西貢、屯門、元朗共七個分會。 自 1956 到 2015年，基甸會在香港派出的聖經超過 200 萬。
成員及經費
- 基甸會由熱心愛主的專業人士或商人組成，他們自費參與基甸會所有事奉。
- 經費由教會或個人奉獻，所有收入只用作購買及贈送聖經。

Let God’s Word change the World!
Gideons International is a Mission Partner for local churches. We are an interdenominational association of Christian business and professional men. We reach people who have no contact with churches and bring them to the Lord Jesus Christ.
You Can Be Our Mission Partner:
- Invite us to share or request free bibles from us
- Pray for us
- Become a Gideon
- Donate to our Ministry
Growing in Christ
Each month, Gideon brothers will meet and discuss about the Gideons’ ministry.
We read God’s word and pray especially for Hong Kong. Most importantly, we encourage one another to grow in Christ and become a faithful witness to our Lord.
Distributing Bibles
We distribute FREE Bibles to hotels, hospitals, prisons, medical centers, universities, and schools.
If you are an educator, a hotel administrator, or a hospital or prison chaplain, and would like to have Bibles for the people you serve, you are most welcome to contact us.
Sharing Vision
Our members are businessmen and professionals dedicated to saving the lost through personal witnessing and the distribution of God’s Word.
We are happy to share in your church about souls saved through the work of the Gideons International. We will also share how your church can become our Mission Partner.
